I love this mini iPad, it is so versatile. It fits neatly in an average size handbag. The photos it takes are so clear and it is so easy, my camera is gathering dust! Being new to Apple technology, I have a lot to learn even though it is similar to a laptop but grandchildren are very helpful. You can buy a pay as you go wireless device from O2, rather than have a oontract for 3G, which can be daily or monthly which suits me for the odd occasions that I need it. The mini iPad has caused some jealousy amongst my friends who are thinking maybe the big one should now be replaced! I thoroughly recommend it.
Having already bought an iPad air 2 I bought the first generation ipad mini as a standby. I now find I use the mini as much as the iPad air 2 depending on what I am doing or even as a convenience
