The iPad works well for a computer game App which is fine, but the IOS is only 5 and so we cannot download such sites as the BBC iPlayer or news etc., which requires 10 IOS That is an important factor to know before buying. The lead has to be placed in a certain position in the socket for it or it doesn't charge. This is curious and fiddly, but not a real problem. The lead works fine on my other iPad. It is fine for the person it was bought for and so we are happy, but was it a bargain? On reflection I think it was the top price for the limited use it can be.

A bit of patience and spotting a bargain will give you one of these Ipads. I know it is Ipad 1, but for general use it is still a fine tablet. The 3G is useful when away from wi-fi source. Not sure yet about the cost of Orange usage for this. It's a bit heavier than latest models and has no back camera. (the shots are not all that clever on the new ones)Unless you want to carry it everywhere, the Ipad 1 is just fine unless you want a lightweight unit and want to keep up with the 'Jones') They sell for about £200 - 275 if your sharp, on ebay. Still an excellent buy. Note: you may have to search a bit for instruction manuals or magazines, Apple generally cater for the 'new' ones.
What a bit of kit! This is a one off and has no better. I purchased it due to the reproduction of photos but found it was of greater use for sky news, apps, reading books, sport, only very small problem is the size of my fingers when moving screens but can be overcome by expanding the screen or using a stylus (rubber on pencil) used away from home with sim card with no problems... 5 stars.
I needed a laptop to surf and use email my son suggested the iPad, it was not necessary for me to have the ipad2 so I searched eBay and found these refurbished ones, which explained could have been repaired or just have a damaged box. I checked that they accepted pay pal and saw there good feedback etc.. It arrived as stated, everything seems perfect, it even came with a free apple case! Since I have received it my husband and I haven't put it down, it is one of the best things we have ever brought. Obviously with all technology as soon as you purchase something another better model comes onto the Market, but this one suits our needs and we are very pleased with it.
